The state of Delaware has finally made the official announcement for the launch of online gambling within state boundaries. Delaware residents have been waiting for months now to hear the news that everything is working according to the established plans and they will be able to access online gambling from the comfort of their homes. The official date is November 8th, which is less than a week away! Delaware residents, welcome to the online gambling world!

This announcement marks the beginning of a new era in the United States, since Delaware will become the first state to regulate and legalize online gambling for those who wish to play, but have encountered major legal difficulties to do so in the past. If you live in the state of Delaware you will be able to access real money poker, blackjack, roulette, slots, and many more online casino games from your home computer starting very soon.

The name of the state's official online system for gambling is "I-gaming" and it can be accessed online through any of the three racetrack casinos in Delaware. I-gaming has been designed to be able to check the user's IP address and the text sent to the customer's phone. On Novemebr 8th, the system will launch in its trial version for a week and only a limited amount of players will be able to partake in this stage, called the "soft launch." Once this stage is completed the system will be up for use by anyone residing in the state of Delaware.

"Just as this business venture is new to our players, it is also new to the casino and lottery officials," said Thomas J. Cook, Delaware's secretary of finance. "Everyone involved will gain valuable experience from this new online offering," he added.

The news of legalized online gambling have been well received, but of course the event could not escape the usual criticism from the conservative perspective on online gambling. Some of the criticisms received that appear to be somewhat valid is that the tracking system is too invasive for a player's privacy, but the state defended itself by saying that those are the terms being proposed right now and that everyone who wished to play casino games online is aware of the type of data tracking that will be gathered in order to grant the services being offered. We will keep you updated on any developments on the case.
