Fairytale Legends: Red Riding Hood Is Live

The NetEnt Rocks series having been completed, NetEnt has launched its next venture titled Fairytale Legends. Fairy tale themed slot games are not new at NetEnt online casinos like Oranje Casino and Kroon Casino. Players will be familiar with Jack and the Beanstalk and Robin Hood Shifting Riches.

The first page of the new fairy tale anthology has been turned with the release of Fairytale Legends: Red Riding Hood earlier this week. More fantastical titles have been planned for 2017, but there is no information yet on how many and which fairy tales will be covered. Announcing the release of this game, Simon Hammon the Chief Product Officer of NetEnt said, “NetEnt is taking players into the enchanted forest with this stunningly designed slot game built around the popular Red Riding Hood fairy tale.” He pointed out that the ingredients for this new video slot were high quality gameplay, a slick user interface and a huge helping of NetEnt creativity.

The first thing that you would notice when you spin the reels is the parallax movement of Red Riding Hood strolling through the woods. The symbols have the ornate kind of design that you will find in the old hard-bound fairy tale anthologies. Red Riding Hood is the wild symbol, but the other symbols do not bear any relation to the tale. You have the Fairytale Legends logo, emblem, key, rose, book and the playing card icons.

The magical features that have been incorporated into the slot game come thick and fast. The fairy can activate three random features in the main game. In the Fairy Magic feature a cluster of 5 to 9 symbols appears as an overlay on the reels for one spin. The Fairy Surprise feature may be activated in a winless spin. One symbol is selected and other symbols on the reels get converted to the chosen one till a winning combination is formed. In the Fairy Wild Spin up to 4 wild symbols randomly appear on the reels. After the payouts are awarded you get one re-spin with the wilds held fixed.

Three treasure chest bonus symbols appearing on reels 1, 3 and 5 trigger the bonus game. You pick one of the chests and will randomly be awarded one of three features.
