The leading software provider to online casinos has made public another agreement within a week of its Terminator 2 announcement. The press release states. “Microgaming has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to produce online slot games centered on one of the biggest film trilogies in motion picture history, Jurassic Park.”

When the original Jurassic Park was released in 1993, it became an “instant phenomenon”. The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and based on a novel by Michael Crichton. It won the Academy Award for visual effects and this contributed to the realistic creation of the era when dinosaurs alone ruled the earth. Such was the magic of this movie that sequels were only to be expected. The Lost World: Jurassic Park was released in 1997 and Jurassic Park III was released in 2001. Finally, the original was re-released in 2013 in 3D format. Microgaming has the license for the entire set of films. Given Microgaming’s creative and technical expertise, online casino players can expect the same life-like audio visual effects and animations on the reels.

The press release states that Jurassic Park slot game will be released this summer. No date has been given. Nor is it clear if a single slot game will cover the trilogy or sequel slot games will be released in coming years. The press release also had comments from Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming. He referred to the stunning visual effects and computer-generated imagery of Jurassic Park that set a new benchmark in the movie industry. A similar process is used by Microgaming for its game creation. Raatgever said, “The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an all-mighty slot for release later in the year.” He assured players at Microgaming online casinos that the slot game will deliver a visionary and imaginative experience.

Microgaming will preview the Jurassic Park online slot at ICE Totally Gaming expo in London at the beginning of February. Terminator 2 will also be previewed at the same time.
