Online gambling software giant, Playtech, recently announced the retirement of their long time director, Roger Withers. The news were suprising since we are all used to his name coming up when speaking of all the remarkable online casinos operating with Playtech software. However, as with everything in life, things change and we must embrace them with open arms and optimistic exepctations. Today we will talk about the change of direction at one of our favorite software providers and what they are projecting for the future under new management.

Roger Withers will remain an advisor of the company until September of 2014. The changes in the company's important decision making positions are that Alan Jackson, former Playtech's senior non-executive director, had been placed in the non-executive chairman seat. Hilary Stewart Jones is the new addition to the Playtech team as a non-executive director as part of the Board's Risk & Compliance Committee and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee. “She brings a wealth of gaming sector knowledge, which will enable her to make a significant contribution to the company and its future growth,” Jackson said about her.

So far, no real changes have been announced to the company's policy and products, but I guess we will see with time if the new people make any type of radical decisions about the way in which they deliver their services. “Once again Playtech's tenacity and drive have been demonstrated in these results as it has focused on deepening its licensee relationships; creating innovative new content; and providing its customers with cutting edge products and services,” non-executive chairman Roger Withers said.

Playtech Plc is one of the most reputable online gaming software company. It provides gaming software for online casinos, online bingo, online poker rooms, sports betting, scratch games, mobile gaming, live dealer games and arcades. The company was founded in 1999 and it is listed in the London Stock Exchange. The company remains at the front of its niche and their yearly report showed that adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation increased by 3 percent this year to €94.3 million. Playtech also announced an interim divident of 7.8 cents per share, remaining the same as last year. In hard economic times, this shows a lot of stability and a promising projection for the company's future.
