If you want to be a successful slot machine player, you will have to manage your bankroll very efficiently, more so than with other casino games. The issue with slot machines and money management is that gameplay is really fast, making it harder for players to be able to keep an eye on how much is going into each spin of the reels. This is a trap that many players fall into and it ends up costing more of money, giving very little returns.

You should also keep in mind that an essential part of slot machine strategy is being able to maximize the number of hands you play in order to have more shots at hitting paying combinations and/or the jackpot. For this reason, here are some tips you can follow:

1. Split your money and time into sessions.

When you are playing at an online casino it is very easy to give into playing the games for hours. Whereas this is one of the key advantages of being able to gamble from home, it is not very good for your bankroll. In order to avoid this, we suggest that you split your bankroll into sessions. For example, if you deposit $500 a month at a casino, decide the amount of sessions you'd like to play during that month. Is it 5, 10, 20? Once you make that decision you can limit yourself to spending $100, $50 or $25 in every session, Do you want to play every weekend? Then maybe do a session on Saturday and one on Sunday during which you spend around $60. This will help you stay in control of your bankroll and your gambling time.

2. Understand time management. A very useful statistic for online slot players is knowing than on average they will go through about 500 plays per hour. The amount of money you spend in one hour has to take into account the 500 plays count. How much money is going into every spin? The answer to that will give you an idea of the minimum amount of time it should take to run through the money you have decided to wager on this session. Now, keep in mind that this answer assumes that you are betting the same amount of money on every play and that you are never hitting a payline, that is why we say you will get an estimate of the minimum amount of time you have to play, if you win more money or vary your bets the time will vary too, but you get the idea.
